Getting Started
A quick tour of the TeacherAI dashboard and what every part of the platform does.
Your Dashboard
After signing in you land on the main dashboard. It surfaces your schedule, pending tasks, student activity, and quick links to everything you need.

Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar is organised into collapsible groups — click any group heading to expand or collapse it. Your active section expands automatically.
Classroom
Classes
Create and manage classes, view enrolled students, launch lessons, and run assessments.
Students
View all students across your classes — activity, progress, and XP.
Parents
View linked parents for your students. Parents contact you by email directly.
Assessment & Grading
Assessments
Create and assign theory tests, projects, practicals, and exam practice. View and grade submissions.
Exam Practice
ATAR-style timed exam sessions with instant feedback for students.
Reflections
View and respond to student reflection submissions from lesson slides.
Course Grades
Overall grade summaries for each student across all assessments in a course.
AI Feedback
AI-generated feedback on student lesson check-ins — review and release to students.
Analytics
Project Types
View and manage project types linked to assessments — defines the workflow students follow for each project.
Game Analytics
Data from lesson game slides across your classes — engagement and participation stats.
Teaching Tools
Presentation View
Opens the teacher presentation screen in a new tab — use this on your classroom display while students follow along on their devices.
Grading Mode
A focused grading interface showing all pending student submissions across your classes in one place.
My Content
Your personal lesson and chapter library. Tabs: Content Library (browse all), My Lessons (yours), My Chapters (yours).
Marketplace
Browse lessons and chapters shared by other TeacherAI teachers. Clone anything to your library.
Account
My School
School profile and settings. Visible to the primary teacher (admin) for the school.
Manage Teachers
Approve and manage other teachers at your school. Visible to the primary teacher.
Billing
Manage your subscription, view invoices, and update payment details.
Settings
Account details, timezone, notification preferences, and integrations.
Help Centre
This help guide — accessible from within the app at any time.
Dashboard Widgets
The dashboard shows the most important information at a glance:
Header Stats
Total students, students active today, pending tasks, overdue tasks, and upcoming assessments — always visible at the top.
Today's Schedule
Classes scheduled for today with quick links to each class. Shows the day's timetable at a glance.
Pending Tasks
Student submissions waiting for your review — theory tests, projects, and reflections. Shows pending and overdue counts.
Paused Tests Alert
Appears only when students have paused theory test attempts waiting for you to resume. Links directly to the test management page.
Courses Overview
Your active courses with enrolment and activity summaries. Quick access to each course.
Recent Students
Your most recently active students — shows lesson completion count and last visit time.
Top Students
Leaderboard of your highest-XP students across all classes, ranked by total points and level.
ℹ️ Note
If you have not yet created a class, the dashboard shows a setup guide instead of the schedule and courses widgets.
First Steps
Create your first class
Go to Classes and create a new class. Set the course, class name, year level, and duration (term, semester, or full year).
Add students
Import students from Compass, upload a CSV file, or add them manually one by one.
Review your lessons
Open your class and go to the Lessons tab. Your course content is already there — browse the topics and lessons available.
Open Presentation View
Click Present in your class or use Presentation View in the sidebar. This opens the teacher screen for your classroom display.
Run a lesson
Select a lesson in Presentation View and start teaching. Students open their student portal to follow along on their own devices.
