Gamified Learning
TeacherAI uses XP, levels, streaks, achievements, and embedded games to keep students motivated and engaged throughout the year.
XP & Levels
Students earn XP (experience points) automatically for every meaningful action in TeacherAI. There is nothing to set up — the XP system runs in the background from day one.
Complete a lesson
Earns XP based on lesson length and the number of activities completed.
Complete a chapter
Awards the XP value set on that chapter. Completing all activities earns bonus XP.
Submit activities
Each activity widget awards a small XP amount on submission.
Live Quiz
Participating and scoring well in a Live Quiz awards XP. Higher score = more XP.
Complete assessments
Submitting a theory test or project awards XP independent of grade.
Play games
Completing a game slide or rapid quiz in a lesson awards XP.
🏅 35 Student Levels — 5 Tiers × 7 Levels
Students progress through 35 levels across 5 tiers as they accumulate XP. Their full level name combines tier and level — e.g. "Silver Explorer" or "Gold Master". Levelling up is a visible milestone students can see on their profile.
Within each tier: Beginner → Explorer → Learner → Builder → Expert → Master → Legend
Streaks
Students earn a streak for each consecutive day they engage with TeacherAI content. The streak counter appears prominently on their dashboard — a visible reminder to keep the momentum going.
Daily streak
Any lesson, chapter, activity, or quiz interaction counts toward the streak. Just showing up is enough.
Streak breaks
A missed day resets the streak to zero. This creates urgency without punishing absences — students can always start a new streak.
Streak milestones
Hitting 7, 14, 30, and 60-day streaks unlocks special achievement badges.
ℹ️ Note
Streaks are student-facing only. You can see each student's streak in the Students tab alongside their XP and level.
Achievements
Students unlock achievement badges for milestones across their learning journey:
Content
First lesson, 10 lessons, First chapter, Chapter streak
Performance
Perfect quiz score, High mark on test, Top of leaderboard
Engagement
7-day streak, 30-day streak, First activity, Power hour
Participation
Live Quiz participant, First project submitted
Level-ups
Reach level 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30
ML Activities

Achievements appear on the student's profile and dashboard. You can view each student's unlocked achievements from the Achievements tab in your class.
Game slides in lessons
Any lesson can include Game slides — full interactive mini-games built around the lesson content. Games are embedded directly in the lesson flow, not as a separate activity. Students play during the lesson and the score feeds into their XP.
Rapid Quiz
Fast-paced multiple choice quiz with countdown timer. Questions from the lesson content.
Word Snake
Classic snake game where eating letters spells key vocabulary words from the lesson.
Space Invaders
Shoot the correct answers to incoming questions. Classic arcade action with lesson vocab.
Tetris
Match falling vocabulary blocks to their definitions before they stack up.
Spell Caster
Spell key terms correctly to cast spells and defeat enemies.
Math Blaster
Solve maths problems to blast targets. Works with number and equation content.
💡 Pro Tip
Place a game slide at the end of a content section as a low-stakes recall check. Students see it as a reward for getting through the content, not as an assessment.
Live Quiz as a game
Live Quiz is itself a core gamification mechanic — the combination of speed scoring, live leaderboards, and competitive energy makes revision feel like a game:
Live leaderboard
Updates in real time after every question. Top students visible on screen — creates friendly competition.
Speed bonus
Faster correct answers score more points. Students are rewarded for quick recall, not just accuracy.
Waiting games
Between questions, students play flashcard, memory match, typing, or sketch games to stay engaged.
Final podium
A top-3 podium is displayed at the end of every quiz. Students celebrate their achievement publicly.
