Course Views
TeacherAI offers three ways to view and navigate course content — Topics, Weeks, and a visual Curriculum Map.
Three ways to view a course
The course view is accessible from your class header via the Present button, or from the class Lessons tab. Three view toggles appear at the top of the page — switch between them at any time. They all show the same content, just organised differently.

Topics View (default)
The default view. Content is organised by Units → Topics → Lessons. This mirrors the course structure exactly.
Units & Topics
Lessons are grouped into topics, topics into units. Collapse or expand each section.
Lock indicators
Locked lessons show a padlock. Students cannot open them until you unlock the topic or lesson.
Progress rings
Each topic card shows a progress ring — the percentage of students who have completed it.
Teacher bookmarks
Lessons you have bookmarked show a pin icon on the card so you can find them quickly.
Completion badges
Lesson cards show how many students have completed that lesson.
Duration estimates
Each lesson card shows an estimated time so you can plan your periods.
Weeks View
A calendar-style layout showing the course week by week across the term. Lessons are scheduled to specific weeks based on the class schedule.
Week columns
Each column is one week of the term. Lessons sit under their scheduled week.
Current week
The current week is highlighted so you can see where you are in the term at a glance.
Holiday weeks
Weeks marked as holidays are shown but labelled as no-content weeks.
Week navigation
Use previous / next arrows to move through the term without scrolling.

💡 Pro Tip
The Weeks view is useful for explaining to students what is coming up this week and next — open it on the projector to set expectations at the start of a lesson.
Curriculum Map View
A visual node-graph of the entire course structure. Units, topics, and lessons are displayed as connected nodes — great for showing students the big picture of what they will learn across the year.
Node graph
Units → Topics → Lessons as interconnected circles with lines showing progression.
Zoom & pan
Pinch to zoom, drag to pan. Navigate a large course without getting lost.
Progress rings on nodes
Each node shows a class-average completion ring so you can see progress at a glance.
Lock indicators
Locked nodes are greyed out. Click a topic node to expand its lessons.
Launch from map
Click any lesson node to jump directly into that lesson.

Locking & Unlocking Content
By default, all topics and lessons are locked — students see them but cannot open them. You unlock content to release it for student access.
Unlock a whole topic
Click the Locked badge at the top of a topic section. All lessons inside unlock at once. Best for releasing a full unit before you start teaching it.
Lock or unlock a single lesson
Hover over a lesson card and click the lock icon to toggle it individually. Useful for hiding a lesson recap until the class reaches that point.
ℹ️ Note
Locking is class-specific. If you have the same course in two classes, unlocking content in one class does not affect the other.
