Explore artificial intelligence and machine learning. Learn how AI works, build classifiers with Teachable Machine, investigate ethics and bias, and discover AI careers.
Learn to acquire, analyse, and visualise data using spreadsheets and databases. Investigate real-world datasets, build SQL queries, and understand how data drives decisions.
Design and create digital solutions through game development with GDevelop and physical computing with micro:bit. Apply the design process: investigate, design, produce, and evaluate.
Understand how computer hardware, networks, and the internet work. Master computational thinking: decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design with flowcharts and pseudocode.
Investigate how emerging technologies impact society. Research AI, IoT, VR/AR, and quantum computing using PESTLE/SWOT analysis. Explore digital footprints, Australian Privacy Principles, and build VR worlds with CoSpaces.
Full-term Python programming course: programming history, algorithms & pseudocode, variables, data types, maths operations, selection (if/elif/else), iteration (for/while), lists, functions, debugging, and a student-chosen project.
Term-4 capstone: your team runs its OWN esports league. Plan it (the game, format, rules and who can play), brand and promote it (a name, poster, video and social posts), organise and run the competition, track the results in one table to crown a champion, build a website with an AI app builder, then review honestly how it went. Assessed on the whole event — the plan, promotion, organisation, results, site and review — split evenly between running the league and the digi-tech, not on code.
Every lesson includes an engaging hook, structured activities, practice questions and a reflection — ready to present from the interactive whiteboard.
