Students analyse abiotic and biotic ecosystem components and their interactions, using classification systems for data collection, comparison and evaluation. They investigate energy flow, matter cycling, population dynamics, and the factors driving ecosystem change — with mandatory fieldwork in a local environment.
Students investigate the interdependent components of the cell system: cell structure, membrane transport, enzyme biochemistry, photosynthesis and cellular respiration. They then examine how cells are organised into tissues, organs and systems in multicellular organisms, including animal and plant systems.
Every lesson includes an engaging hook, structured activities, practice questions and a reflection — ready to present from the interactive whiteboard.
